Jaime King has broken her silence for the first time since she was sued by her former Landlord.
“The situation with my landlord was resolved in private,” King, 45, told Weekly US On Monday, March 24. “It’s disappointing – but it’s not surprising – seeing someone trying to take advantage of this moment for attention. I’m currently focusing on what’s most important: my children.”
Court documents obtained by Us On Saturday, March 22, he showed that a king, 45, was sued by his landlord Sheila Irani In January. King was apparently forced to move out of her rent home in Los Angeles over the legal issue.
The actress signed her lease for the rental property in April 2023, with a rent price of $ 10,145 per month. It is alleged to be due around $ 42,580 in back rent and, per filing, had “not paid (his landlord) any money, at all” since January.
Irani’s complaint about breaching a contract noted that it had locked King out of the property until the payment was settled. Irani further claimed that King had been “malicious” remaining on the property as an illegal prisoner. King’s attorney denied the allegations against the actress in a revised court motion.
“(Irani) claims that (king) remains on the property maliciously,” the revised court docs noted. “This is fake. (King) has tried to raise the money for the due back rent, but claims that it is unavoidable hardship due to the LA wildfires and has drawn the attention of active litigation.”

Despite their legal battle, King and Irani eventually reached a settlement that the Hart from Dixie Alum would turn over the keys, omit receiving its security deposit and leaving the building by Saturday.
“King recognizes that his delay in meeting the Movement Date of March 22, 2025 will cause significant and friendly compensation for Irani including but not limited to the inability to rent the building to a new tenant starting April 1, 2025,” read the Docs. “Accordingly, King agrees to pay Irani the extra amount of $ 1,000 a day for each day or part of a day as a payment rent.”
