Newjeans announces about hiatus after failure in a judicial battle

South Korean Group K-Pop Newjeans announced that they are resting from all events, After the court ruled against them In their constant dispute with their Leibe Ador Ador.

A five -year -old, who tried to rebranded as NJZ, announced during the show at the Complexcon Hong Kong on Sunday that “it will be our last performance for a long time” after the debut with the new PIT STOP.

The court ruling on Friday banned the group to organize their own performances, create music or sign advertising deals during the dispute with Ador.

Newjeans seek to disperse the ador’s ties after the charge of their cruel treatment, and said they would challenge the court ruling.

The group was involved in a long dispute with its label since August 2024, when the Hybe, the mother company Ador, allegedly pulled out Nagian Ming Hin teacher.

The band released an ultimatum demanding that the Min be restored – and, when Hibe refused, made a number of complaints about the label, including the statement he intentionally blew their careers.

One of the group members, Hani, also claimed that She survived the persecution in the workplace While working with the label.

At a press conference in November, Newzhun announced his departure from the company, saying that Hibe and Ador lost the right to represent them as artists.

Seoul’s court ruled that NewjEans did not “prove enough that the Ador violated their significant duty under their contract,” adding that the music label supported “most of his duties, including payment.”

The court’s decision prevents groups from carrying out independent activity, which means that it will face the complexity of the rebranding under its new name NJZ, without faced with serious financial fines for violation of the contract.

The Hong Kong concert on Sunday night noted the first public performance of the group after the ruling.

Having made his new song, five participants of the Miner, Hani, Daniel, Garin and Hayin read a letter that concerned their fans in English and Korean.

“This stage is a lot for us, and each of you who gives us strength, just being here,” said Khani and Dani.

“It is very difficult for us to say this, but it can be our last speech for a while. With respect for the court decision, we decided to stop all our events.

“It was a difficult solution,” they added, “but we believe that this is what we need to do at this moment.”

The group also stated that the decision was “about protecting ourselves so that we could return even harder.”

“We had to speak out to protect the values we believe, and it was a choice we did not regret,” they added.

“We certainly believe that upholding for our dignity, our rights and everything we care about is what we needed to do and this faith will not change.”

The performance ended with a clock title in front of the crowd with more than 11,000 fans on the AsiaWorld Expo Arena, the largest in Hong Kong live music.

The group made a new name Njz seemingly contrary to the decision of the last week.

In a statement on Monday, Ador stated that “I regret the decision of the members to start a speech under the name, except for the News, despite the court ruling, and their unilateral announcement of the suspension of activity.”

“Ador is fully committed to supporting the News in accordance with the terms of our legally fair exclusive contract,” they added. “We hope to meet the artists as soon as possible to discuss the way forward.”

Newjeans are considered one of the brightest K-POP bands and were the eighth largest act in the world in 2023.
