Wales surpassed Kazakhstan to launch his 2026 World Cup classification campaign with a victory and maintain the unbeaten reign of Craig Bellamy as his manager.
Dan James and the Captain at night, Ben Davies, scored on both sides of a Tagybergen Askhat penalty before the Matond Rabbi substitute made sure that there was no hassle at Cardiff’s city stadium.
Dragons have never been qualified for the World Cup tournaments and all three points here will give the Wales to make history in a group that also includes Liechtenstein, North Macedonia and Belgium.

Dan James opened the score in 10 minutes when his diverted strike found the net after Kazakhstan made a mess to erase the danger.
He pointed to a comfortable evening on the side of Bellamy, but things were far from simple, as the visitors seemed dangerous in the spells.
Kazakhstan had failed to score in the entire League B campaign this season. But shortly before the half -hour mark, they were at a level when Tagybergen found the net from a penalty point after Connor Roberts had been penalized by a handball.
It caused a nervous one in the last minutes of half for Wales, but a few moments after the restart of Davies, a deputant -as a pattern in the absence of the Aaron Ramsey wound, he headed home from the corner to restore the host of the host.
From there, Wales were largely comfortable and wrapped things in a stop time when Matondo combined his first international goal to seal the victory.
It gives Bellamy’s men a platform on which to build and will enter the Tuesday clash with northern Macedonia, which defeated Liechtenstein 3-0, full of confidence.
