Jaime King She was said to have been forced to move out of her rent home after a legal dispute with his landlord.
King, 45, was sued by his landlord, Sheila IraniIn January, according to court documents obtained by US Weekly.
King signed a lease in April 2023 to rent the property in Los Angeles for a monthly rent of $ 10,145. It is alleged to have approximately $ 42,580 in back rent and “has not paid (his landlord) any money, at all” since January, per file.
According to an Irani complaint about breaching a contract, she locked King out of the property until the payment had been made. Irani further claimed that King had been staying on the property “malicious” as an illegal prisoner. King’s attorney denied the allegations in a revised court motion.
“(Irani) claims that (king) remains on the property maliciously,” the docs argue. “This is fake. (King) has tried to raise the money for the due back rent, but claims that it is unavoidable hardship due to the LA wildfires and has drawn the attention of active litigation.”
King is also alleged to have revealed her desire to repay the debt to Irani directly.
“(King) has expressed to (Irani) how many times she wants to pay the rent due in the past and leave the building before the end of the lease,” argued the king’s attorney. “She has been acting in good faith to raise the money is therefore due, however, she suffered ongoing barriers and hardships due to Los Angeles ‘wildfires, which came within 800 feet of her home, forcing her to flee from her home after compulsory evacuation orders were announced in Canyon Nichols’ fire.”
King’s attorney also noted that the actress “related to active litigation regarding her children’s custody. “

Us Confirmed earlier this month that Newman, 49, was given the only physical custody Of the children after King is alleged to have completed a six -month drug and alcohol rehabilitation program and a 26 week parenting course. (King has not addressed the allegations, though Court Docs reveal that she gets supervised visits.)
“(The custody battle) has been extremely stressful and distracted from her work, of which (Irani) is fully aware in that eviction would be detrimental to the custody issue (King),” the king’s lawyer claims in the filing.
King and Irani eventually reached settlement, agreeing that the Hart from Dixie aum Moving out by Saturday, March 22, after turning over the keys. He was also instructed to leave the home in a clean condition and agreed to waive receiving his security deposit.
“King recognizes that his delay in meeting the Movement Date of March 22, 2025 will cause significant and friendly compensation for Irani including but not limited to the inability to rent the building to a new tenant starting April 1, 2025,” read the Docs. “Accordingly, King agrees to pay Irani the extra amount of $ 1,000 a day for each day or part of a day as a payment rent.”
