It has been on a boxing professional trip for almost nine years, and on Saturday, March 22, Tiara Brown traveled to Sydney, Australia, and had a defining moment in the race when he defeated the Boxeador Aussie Skye Nicolson (12-1, 1 KO) through the division decision and won the World WBC weight title.
Prior to the fight, Skye Nicolson and Tiara Brown exchanged words on social media and shared very intense face -to -face meetings during various press conferences. On the night of struggle it was a battle between two unbeaten fighters and, unfortunately, for Nicolson, his 0 had to go.
A native of Fort Myers, Florida, Tiara Brown initially moved to the Washington area, DC, for boxing, but when he noticed many police officers around boxing gyms, he decided to pursue a race in the application of the law. Brown balanced his time working during the day and training at night.
As a result of hard work and dedication, Tiara Brown was appointed Officer of the Year of Washington DC 2018 Metropolitan Police. A few years later, Tiara Brown decided to give up her job to focus more on her boxing career.
With a boxing style that includes aggression, a good placement of punches and a constant work rate, Tiara Brown continued to gain and improve its portfolio. Brown’s focus and determination paid off when he received his first shot in a world title on Saturday, March 22.
In the opening round of the championship, both fighters went through the sensation process as they tried to establish their fists.
Brown raised the aggression in the second round as he advanced and landed a couple of punches on his body.
When the second round was over, Nicolson connected with a net shot on the left. At the beginning of the third, Brown landed a solid right hand, but Nicolson responded by landing a couple of shots on his body.
Challenger Tiara Brown continued to cut the ring in fourth place, but the champion Defense Skye Nicolson revolved around the ring and landed its trademark. Brown had a good sixth round as he constantly landed on Nicolson’s body.
In the seventh round, Brown was inside and connected with a good combination of three punches. During the championship rounds, Brown continued to push as Nicolson continued to fight the posterior foot, but Nicolson was in most of these rounds.
At the conclusion of the ten -round contest, it was time to go to the judge’s cards. A judge had the 96-94 combined for Nicolson, but this card was annulled by the other two judges, as they marked 96-94 and 97-93 in favor of Tiara Brown.
With the victory, Tiara Brown (19-0, 11 kos) became the new WBC World Champion. Brown plans to celebrate the victory by eating cookies and muffins, but after the celebration, he will have to contemplate the option of a resale with Skye Nicolson or a combat of unification with one of the other champions.
