For the uninitiated, the orange lid is awarded to the main scorer of the season, while the purple lid is given to the highest wicker. These honors recognize the most dominant performers with the bat and the ball in each season.

Performances of the two stars in IPL 2024
Both Sudharsan and Arshdeep had impressive departures in the IPL 2024 season, making them competent for these awards in 2025.
