Aubrey Plaza A welfare check was requested on her late husband, Jeff Baenamonths before his death.
According to the Medical Auditor’s report obtained by Weekly USPlaza, 40, said she had a friend’s check on Baena’s lace in October 2024, a month after they Quietly separated. (Plaza confirmed to the examiner that she and Baena were separated in September 2024.)
“Baena made about comments… who prompted her to call a friend to perform a welfare check on her husband,” read the report. “Baena had been attending therapy since that incident.”
The report also noted that Plaza had been in contact with Baena on the day of his death, as he texted her that morning.
The news broke in January that Baena died By suicide after he was unconsciously found inside his home in Los Angeles. Baena Walker’s dog discovered his body, according to the medical examiner’s report. He was 47 years old.
“This is an inconceivable tragedy,” said a spokesman for Plaza Us in a statement that month. “We are very grateful to everyone who has offered support. Respect our privacy during this time.”

Diego Corredor/InstarPlaza and Baena had dated for nearly a decade before the knot tied in 2020. Although the actress has not further addressed the death of Baena or their division, she seems to be paying homage to her late husband during appearance in the Snl 50 Special Birthday. For the occasion Plaza wore a Tied color t-shirt – Baena had affinity about him – under his jacket.
During the appearance of December 2021 on Ellen degeneres showPlaza remembered how she and Baena spent their quarantine together and detailed their improvised decision to tie the knot.
“We bored a little one night. We married and I’ll tell you how: Onehourmarriage.com. That’s real, look at it,” said Plaza at the time. “We were in the lock.
The ceremony was held in his backyard and baena.
“I created a very fast love altar in our yard. The facts of our love, small stones, smoke, fire. Things of that nature,” explained the parks and the leisure alum. “Then the Alhambra man in a Hawaii shirt with a paper bag (to perform the ceremony) showed.… I can’t remember much of it, it was foggy. But I’m pretty sure it was legal.”
