The Premier League India (IPL 2025) will begin on Saturday, March 22, with an exciting game between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Prior to the opening of the season, Star Sports, the official broadcasters, have announced the complete list of commentators and presenters.
The 18th edition of the IPL will be played at 13 places from March 22 to May 25. A total of 74 games, including playoffs, will be played for eight weeks. The Knight Riders will enter the event as champions defending. The Mumbai (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Indians will compete for a sixth record title.

The Indians of Mumbai (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will face the first meeting of IPL 2025 on Sunday, March 23 at the Ma Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Two new rules have been announced: the lifting of the saliva ban and the introduction of two balls to counteract the impact of the dew.
The tournament will be played with a grouping system. Teams will play others within the group twice as they will face the teams in the opposite group once, except for a planted team, which they will play twice.
For example, CSK, first raised in group A, will perform twice at Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings. In Group B, Mumbai Indians are the most prominent team and the only CSK side will play twice from the other group.
Group A: Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Punjab Kings.
Group B: Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Gujarat Titans, Delhi Capitals, Lucknow Super Giants.
