US Prosecutor General Bondi said on Thursday that three accused vandalism aimed at the Tesla Musk electric vehicles could face up to 20 years in prison.
Bondi said he had an internal terrorism for cars, dealers and tesla charging stations.
Arrests and charges against three suspects were previously announced by prosecutors.
Tesla dealers across the country were aimed at a wave of shares, but also vandalism and attacks on arson in response to Musk’s influence on the Trump administration.
There is no specific US law against domestic terrorism, but the prosecutor’s office may require longer prison terms when convicted criminals have a motive motive.
Trump and Musk also called attacks of domestic terrorism. The administration supporters were also reportedly “fascinated” – the police raid after the emergency armed raid.
The statement of the Ministry of Justice on Thursday did not name the suspects in the TESLA vandalism, but the details of the three cases stated in the arrests and accusations announced by the prosecutor’s office announced earlier by the prosecutor’s office.
The suspects include Lucy Nelson, 42, who has been accused of storing a devastating device and angry destruction of property after he noticed near Tesla’s dealer in Colorado.
According to the criminal complaint, the dealership center was aimed at the attack on the Molotov cocktail and graffiti, which caused damage from $ 5,000 to $ 20,000. This suspect pleaded not guilty.
Adam Matthew Lansky, 41, was accused of storing the devastating device after the Molotov cocktails were thrown into the Tesla dealer in Salem, Oregon. It should still be guilty and will face a preliminary hearing in April.
The third, 24-year-old Daniel Clark-Punder, was charged with arson after allegedly threw the Molotov cocktails at Tesla’s charging stations in North Charlestan, South Carolina, and spraying the color parking.
In his statement, Bondi said: “The days of committing crimes without consequences are over.
“Let it be a warning: if you join this wave of internal terrorism against Tesla Properties, the Ministry of Justice will put you in jail.”
The Attorney General said three suspects could face five to 20 years in prison if he was found guilty.
The BBC tried to contact the lawyers for the three accused.
