Umar Akmal has again caused the controversy by directing the former Pakistan’s main coach, Waqar Younis. Umar Akmal continued his streak of criticism against his former Pakistani teammates and coaches, and Waqar Younis was his last goal.
The Pakistani cricket out of favor has now accused Waqar of mistreating him and mentally pressing him during his tenure as a main coach. Akmal stated that Waqar discouraged his natural style of attacking the test cricket and could not do it great in the format.

The Wicketkeeper-Bachelor said that the former Pakistan coach repeatedly insisted that his aggressive approach was not suitable for the test cricket and said similar things during hatred, and finally affected his confidence and performance.

Speaking on local television channel GTV Sports, Umar Akmal said, “When I played shootings attacking, they said,” Have you started playing Cricket T20 in tests? “And when I turned the strike, they said to me,” Are you playing a hate cricket hatred? “Now, look at the current test cricket, they will not even last three or four days.”
Akmal has accused Waqar of having problems with his brothers Kamran Akmal and Adnan Akmal. He stated that the legendary fast diaper had openly asked why the three brothers were part of the Pakistan’s national team.

He added, “I heard it with my ears. Waqar Younis said,” All the cricket will be interpreted by these brothers? “What kind of statement is that a main coach?”
Umar also stated that Waqar focused on his personal choices instead of his performance in the game. The cricket also explained, “I would ask,” Why do you wear these glasses? Why these shoes? “Instead of focusing on my cricket, I was more interested in these things.”
He also thanked his teammates for his support, as they encouraged him to stay focused on his game and to ignore negativity. Akmal signed saying, “Senior players sat down and told me that I ignored these things and playing my natural game. They encouraged me to focus on my strengths instead of listening to negativity.”

Umar Akmal last played in Pakistan in 2019
The 34 -year -old last played in Pakistan in October 2019 during a T20i series against Sri Lanka in Lahore. Umar has represented his country in 16 tests, 121 hatred and 84 T20is. It has about 3400 runs on its name in the international cricket through the three formats of the game.
Umar Akmal has recently requested the President of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, to allow him to return to the national team. Akmal had said that he has only 3-4 years of cricket, so he wants to use it to represent his nation at the highest level.
He has been playing regularly at the domestic level, but was not chosen for the next Pakistan Super League 2025 (PSL 2025). Showing frustration on a local television program, Akmal urged the PCB head to get to know him and give him the opportunity to re -practice the national sweater.
