Ukraine and Russia are conducting parallel negotiations in Saudi Arabia next week

Volodimir Zelensky said that next Monday, Ukrainian officials would meet with their American colleagues in Saudi Arabia after the Kremlin confirmed that the US-Russia negotiations were there on the same day.

Recent negotiations come when the US is trying to end the fire between the two countries after more than three years of the war.

The Ukrainian leader said that Russia “should stop making unnecessary demands that have just extended the war.” The requirements of Russian President Vladimir Putin include the full end of the allies of Ukraine providing military assistance.

Zelensky also warned this Having taken NATO’s membership for Ukraine from the table – Something Moscow demanded – it would be a “great gift of Russia”.

Both Zelensky and Putin agreed with the ceasefire in principle during the conversations with the United States – but still need to come true with the controversial conditions.

The Russian leader has recently agreed to stop strikes on energy and rail infrastructure, as well as ports – but such strikes on both sides continue.

Zelensky was in Oslo, Norway on Thursday, where Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Hahr Stere met.

Asked about the comments of the White House that advertises U.S. POSSIBLE ORDERS TO Nuclear Power Plants of Ukraine At the joint press conference, Zelensky completely excluded it.

He said he did not directly discuss the ownership of the Zaporizhia power plant – which is currently under Russian control – in his phone call with US President Donald Trump on Wednesday, adding that “all nuclear power plants belong to the people of Ukraine.”

However, he said he was open to the US that accepts the factory from Russia to invest or upgrade.

Asked if he was ready to make the territorial concessions of Russia, in particular Crimea, which has been in his hands since 2014, Zelensky said: “This is the Ukrainian Peninsula,” adding that Crimea was an “integral part” of his country.

Crimea is internationally, as part of Ukraine, despite Russia’s occupation and declared annexation.

When asked what the ceasefire could look like, Zelensky said that the first stage should be a ceasefire on the ground and sea, because Ukraine views it as the only way to stop Russian aggression.

Trump was able to obtain a ceasefire agreement for energy infrastructure – which Russia has repeatedly aimed – from Putin to Tuesday, but nothing more.

At the same time, the war that began with a full -scale invasion of Russia in 2022 continues. Two people in Ukraine died for the night, while Ukrainian drones suffered 10 and set fire to the airfield in Russia.

Speaking to the EU leaders through a video -liner, Zelensky repeated to call for military assistance to continue, asking European leaders at least € 5 billion (£ 4.18 billion) for artillery shells “as soon as possible”, and said that Ukraine’s constant support was “decisive”.

Zelensky also stated that the EU should participate in peace talks and urged Europe not to “alleviate the pressure on Russia over the war.”

EU leaders in Brussels have decided their defense strategy and strengthened security measures for Ukraine.

Meanwhile, UK Prime Minister Sir Kire Starmer said that “planning time” when it comes to a peaceful deal for Ukraine, after the proposal of the Coalition of Readiness to apply peace in Ukraine after the transaction.

Speaking during a visit to a military base in London, he said that “he knew well that the deal could be in the stages,” but added that “more planning we can do here now … the better because we are ahead of the challenge to make sure we are as effective as possible.”

Earlier, the Prime Minister met with a closed door with senior military officers from the Coalition countries to make plans.
