His average of 19.38 is the best among all bowlers to reach or surpass the 200-wicket mark in Test cricket, surpassing iconic figures such as Malcolm Marshall, Joel Garner, i Curtly Ambrosewho averaged slightly above 20. However, Bumrah’s feat in terms of run balls is even more impressive; he did so in 8,484 deliveries, making him the fourth fastest bowler in the world to reach 200 wickets, behind Waqar Younis, Dale Steyni Kagiso Rabada.
