Banner “embarrassed” rangers in Fenerbahce’s game with UEFA holding charges

Rangers have exposed their “contempt” for a minority of supporters whose actions have caused a UEFA charge.

The governing body of European football has disciplined the Glasgow Club after some rangers fans hoisted a banner that read “Keep Whoe Ideologies Foreign Out – Defense Europe” during Last Thursday Europe League clash with Fenerbahce.

The club has published a strongly statement in response this morning, saying: “It is, deeply sad and frankly embarrassing that the club is planned to face significant sanctions for the actions of a very small minority.

“First, the club was accused by UEFA after a good number of followers showed what UEFA describes as a” racist and/or discriminatory banner “at the Ibrox meeting last Thursday with Fenerbahce.

“Rangers is a modern and progressive football club, and we are proud of our various plants, the labor force and the support for the club to be accused of this topic by 2025 is shameful and the contempt of those in charge will be shared by the vast majority of our followers.

“This position will have consequences for the club, while the club also works to identify those in charge and ensure that they also face it.

“To avoid doubts, if you do not believe in 2025 that absolutely everyone is welcome to follow in Rangers, either in Ibrox or Outs, Rangers is not the club for you, and you have to disassociate -with the club immediately.”

Rangers face more charges

The statement explains that UEFA has also collected the club for the launch of objects and the blockade of passages in the game of Fener.

It is an unnecessary distraction for the Rangers after they beat Jose Mourinho’s men in a penalty shot to reach the quarterfinals of the Europa League and supported it with a memorable 3-2 victory at Glasgow Rivals Celtic Sunday.

The statement concluded: “All previous behaviors will have consequences for the club and, directly or indirectly, the club’s supporters.

“Rangers as a club will stand with our supporters and defend their rights and their ability to support the team of the most passionate ways possible within the limits of the law and the appropriate regulations.

“However, the club also calls for all reasonable supporters to reject any behavior that is called Rangers to discrepancy, and help the club challenge any problem that leads the club to be punished by the relevant authorities.”
