At least 13 people were reportedly killed in air strikes in one night after Israel said it had restored combat operations in the Palestinian territory.
Two civilians were killed and five more were injured when an Israeli drone hit the tent near the al-Mausas humanitarian zone, according to the Palestinian WAFA agency, citing Medics Red Crescent.
The Israeli army said it aimed at what he called Hamas’s military place, where the group was preparing for shooting in Israel. The courts controlled by Hamas were also impressed, the army said.
This happens after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the fight resumed “in full force”, adding: “This is just the beginning.”
The bombing is not on the same scale as Tuesday, when the Ministry of Health Hamas states that more than 400 people have died-but it does not indicate a fresh attack by Israel.
The strikes on Tuesday were the hardest, because the gentle ceasefire and the transactions on the hostage exchange came into force on January 19 and came after Israel and Hamas disagreed how to bring it outside the original phase.
The transaction provides three stages, and the talks in the second stage had to start six weeks ago – but this did not happen.
Under the proposed second phase, Israel abandoned the troops from Gaza – but Israel and the United States instead pushed the first phase, and more hostages were released in exchange for more Palestinian prisoners.
Netanyahu Restoration of the struggle as a return to Israel’s main purposes is to return hostages and “get rid of” Hamas – but the hostage family criticized the decision, saying that he showed that the government had abandoned its loved ones.
Israel says Hamas is still holding 59 hostages, 24 of which are believed to be alive.
Egypt, the mediator in the negotiations, said the fresh blows were “brazen” violation of the ceasefire.
Wafa says the woman and the child were killed north of Khan UNIS for the night on Wednesday, and four others died as a result of a strike in Gaza.
The Gaza Ministry of Health will not yet death in the last strike.
Hamas confirmed that several of his leaders were killed as a result of the strikes on Tuesday, including his actual head of government AS-Dalis.
Meanwhile, Islamic jihad, whose fighters participated in the attack on October 7, 2023, which caused the current conflict – said a well -known press -secretary of his armed wing, known as Abu Hamza, was killed.
However, there were also many civilians, including dozens of children who were among the dead.
Regional mediators are said to be pushing Hamas to release some Israeli hostages he is still conducting in exchange for de -escalation.
But Netanyahu said that, going forward, all negotiations on the fire would take place “under the fire”.
In the attack on October 7, 2023, Hamas on Israel occurred about 1,200 people, and the capture of 251 hostages – 25 of which were released alive in the first stage of ceasefire.
Israel responded with a massive military offensive that killed more than 48,500 Palestinians, says the Ministry of Health Hamas, as well as causing home and infrastructure.
