Morgan Gibbs-White has talked a lot about England’s main coach, Thomas Tuchel, describing him as “incredible”, although he was initially left out of the squad for rankings in the 2026 World Cup.
Tuchel reported to the Nottingham Forest midfielder that he would not be included in the initial selection of the squad.
However, after Cole Palmer de Chelsea suffered an injury Sunday, Gibbs-White received a call from Tuchel, inviting him to join the team for the next games against Albania and Latvia.
“He called me and said to me,” Are you still upset with me, or do you want to join us, and luxury training with us tomorrow? “, Gibbs-White said to BBC Radio 5 Live.
“There was no question.
Gibbs-White, a key figure in the strong season of the Forest Premier League, believed that his performances had justified a place in the squad of England.
“He was upset, a little disappointed, but at the same time you always have to look at the quality of the players that England has,” he admitted.
“I kept this, but when he told me, I respected his decision.
“I said,” I think I did enough to get the call considering the shape of the club we are in, but you are the manager, make the decisions and I will respect it. “
“Are you still upset with me?” 😅

From England’s job, Tuchel has made an effort to connect with his players before his first games together.
Gibbs-White, who had previously won two caps under the interim director Lee Carsley, was among those Tuchel contacted before the workforce met.
“To be fair, (Tuchel) has been incredible,” he said. “I think he has done it (this) with most players.
“I think he had the job so soon, he has been in contact with most players.
“I felt he was superior to him, really good starting this relationship with us before we met.”
Gibbs-White participated in Tuchel’s first training session on Monday, where ex-chelsea, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain Cap made their expectations clear.
“It’s really intense and that’s the first thing I took out of her,” added Gibbs-White.
“I think when you know someone knows what you want, you also believe in it.
“This intensity to show that it is not just here for a little cheerful, it is here to win, this was very good to see.”
