Sean Lowe He has not had good luck in family pets.
In April 2023, the first Bachelor revealed that he and his wife Catherine Giudici forced Re -home their dogGus. The decision came after Gus, Bullmastiff, injured their eldest son, Samuel.
“The result was a trip to the ER and a staple in the head,” Lowe wrote through his Instagram story at the time. “So as much as I love that dog, I have to put my children first.”
Two years after the difficult decision to give Gus a new home, Lowe and Giudici welcomed a new fluffy friend their familywhich includes the sons of Samuel and Isiah as well as the daughter Mia. In January 2025, they brought Moose home.

Two months later, Lowe was rushed to the emergency room after he was Attacked by Moose.
“My first mind is, ‘I think the dog could have licked an artery,” said Lowe in the March 2025 Instagram video. “And we have the video, which – the video is too violent.
After the attack, Lowe eventually knew he could not keep Moose in the same house as his children following the incident. The former reality -star shared that he contacted animal management and the adoption agency to discuss how best to operate.

Lowe revealed that he and Giudici stopped gus ownership after several cases of aggression with their little ones.
“Y’all knows so much I loved that dog and was so great.
Lowe and Giudici found a new “great” home for Gus with the paired dog coach.
“He has to go to work every day and be around other dogs. “Must be the close similarities.”
When asked if he wanted a new puppy anytime soon, Lowe did not think it was the right idea to move on so quickly.
“He would feel that I was cheating on Gus if we had one time soon,” he wrote through social media at the time.
Lowe and Giudici stayed two years before they brought Moose home.

Lowe was attacked by their new Moose family dog, nearly three months after their rescue.
“I had some friends over to a barbecue. Catherine took the children to the center, and we barbecified here on my patient, and it was a very nice night, so I had the doors and windows open, and some of the smoke from the barbecue started drifting inside, and our smoke alarm began to go away,” during which it was named during March. “So I grab a dish and I’m going to waft the smoke away from the smoke alarm, because the siren is madly high.
Despite giving Moose “no,”, Lowe explained that Moose had started to bite his feet so hard that his shoes were “holes”.
“At this point again, so much chaos happens with the alarm going away, I give it, like, very strictly, like, ‘Moose. this. ”
Lowe revealed that he was attacked for “a second time” after being placed in a different area.
“(I’m) not trying to be dramatic, but I honestly felt like I was fighting for my life here against a dog,” he said. “Not just a dog.
Lowe said he did not “blame” Moose for what happened. He shared that the rescue had informed him and Giudici that Moose had some problems in his past.
“I think it’s obvious, he experienced a lot of trauma before we got it and got something of a neurological wrong with it,” he noted. “Where only a switch flipped and turned into a complete murderer.”
Lowe shared that his parents had come to raise his children and he and Giudici made a plan for what to do with Moose.
“I know with what happened alone, obviously I can’t keep Moose in this house. “He was very sympathetic and we were talking through the various things.
Lowe added that he and his family were “losing our dog that strange.
