Homecoming of Sydney by George Kamboses Jr has just taken an unexpected turn and not in the way he planned. His original opponent, Daud Yordan, was ruled out for medical reasons, leaving him to search for a replacement less than a week before the night of struggle. Enter Jake Wyllie, a 24 -year -old Queensland Tiensland artist who literally planned to sit in the crowd before receiving the call.
Wyllie (16-1, 15 kos) is supposed to be another fan of the Bank’s Sand, but is now in the ring with Kamboses for the biggest struggle in his career.
“This is what dreams are,” said Wyllie. “I would have organized the tickets to see on Saturday and now I am fighting in the main event.”
This is a way to save money on a ticket.
“This is a lifelong opportunity and I am ready to take it with both hands. George has been reduced to the highest level, but I am young, ambitious and willing to put it on the line. Wait fireworks! Jake ‘The Machine’ Wyllie comes.”
A great talk, but intervening against an old indisputable light champion with a short warning is not exactly a recipe for a nuisance. Kambosa has been with the best: Teofimo Lopez, Devin Haney and Vasiliy Lomachenko, while Wyllie has been eliminating the regional opposition.
Kambos (21-3, 10 kos) is not interested in fairy tales. He treats this as another step towards a 140 -pound title against IBF Richardson Hitchins champion, and Wyllie is just a name for the curriculum.
“Boxing is unpredictable, and it is very unfortunate that Daud Yordan was medically removed five days before the event, but the fierce show continues because there is no show without me,” said Kamboses.
Recognized Wyllie’s credentials, but closed any conversation about a small story:
“So, I am giving Jake the” rocky “shot! The opportunity, but this is where it is over. This is not a rocky movie, you don’t get it, there is no happy ending. A fierce statement is what you will see on Saturday night. Victory by any medium.”
This is the polite way to say that Wyllie is being destroyed.
The Bank Arena QUDOS will be packaged, and while Kamboses-Wyllie is now the main event, the World Women’s Title Fights provide some serious bets:
Matchroom’s head, Eddie Hearn, who never moved away from the hype, called her “the largest card in Australia until this year.”
“First, we wish Daud Yordan a speedy recovery. Now the young Jake Wyllie comes in a short warning with an opportunity that changes his life to move the world and destroy the plans of George Kamboses Jr. It is a dangerous punch with a growing reputation as a feeling of stoppage, so wait for fireworks this Saturday in the sand of Qudos Bank. Sydney we come and can’t wait. “”
