The IPL 2025 season is about to start in a few days and the teams are in the last rounds of their preparations. In the midst of all these preparations, Punjab Kings Batter Shashank Singh has chosen his favorite captain IPL.
Surprisingly, he did not call Mrs. Dhoni or Kohli in his favorites, but decided to choose Rohit Sharma. Shashank Singh revealed that he always wanted to play under Rohit’s leadership and encounters his captaincy.
Shashank also appointed his favorite IPL of all the time he performed XI, which included only two foreign players. However, the team still seems unbeatable and includes some of the best players of all time.

Shashank Singh Tria Rohit Sharma as your favorite IPL
During a podcast on the YouTube channel ‘Shubhankar Mishra’, he was asked Shashank Singh to name his best IPL captain among Mrs. Dhoni, whipped Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Shashank did not hesitate to take the name of Rohit and also revealed the reason behind it.
“Rohit (Sharma) Bhai because he just said I want to play under him. Mahi (Mrs. Dhoni) Bhai is obviously there, but I think he will retire after a while. Rohit Bhai could extend his IPL race a little more,” said Shashank.
The three players, Mrs. Dhoni, Rohit Sharma and Kohli are also the three most successful captains in the IPL history. As a captain, Dhoni and Rohit have a percentage of 58.84 and 55.06 wins respectively.
In the meantime, Kohli is the third most successful captain in the IPL with a percentage of wins of 48.95. Both Ms. Dhoni as Rohit Sharma have led their respective Chennai Super Kings teams and Mumbai Indians to five IPL titles, which is a record in itself.
The Favorite IPL of all time of Shashank Singh Toca XI
At the same podcast, Shashank Singh also chose his IPL XI, which includes some of the best players who have played the league in the past. Shashank chose Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma to open the battle. Wanted Kohli was also chosen as indisputable number 3.
The average order consists of Suresh Rain and AB of Villiers, both of which were excellent during their principle. As expected, the PBKs batter chose Ms. Dhoni and Hardik Pandya for the finished papers at number 6 and 7 respectively.
Shashank chose the leg of legs Yuzvendra Chahal as the first spinner of his team and the lonely one. He chose Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga as the two quick bowls on the side. Surprisingly, Sandeep Sharma also came to this list, as Shashank tagged him as “underestimated diaper.”

Shashank Singh was retained by Punjab Kings for Inr 5.50 Crore after he had a bright season at IPL 2024 with the bat. Shashank appeared as one of the bright lights of his team last season in a disappointing campaign for them.
Punjab Kings will play his Open IPL 2025 against Gujarat Titans on March 25 in Ahmedabad. The IPL 2025 will begin on March 22 with the champions defending Kolkata Knight Riders in front of Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the tournament workshop in Eden Gardens.
