After incorporating the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for the next IPL 2025, Kohli turned a light bulb on his future. Previously, there were reports that Virated Kohli could call his famous international career after the CPI 2025 Champions Trophy.
However, the former Indian Captain made it clear that he goes nowhere after winning the ICC Champions Trofy 2025 in Dubai last week, saying that he will leave the national team only on the stage where they can dominate at least a decade.
Many have been supporting Kohli to play in the World Cup of Hate 2027 in South -Africa if he maintains his shape, as there is no problem at his physical fitness. Well, ahead of the IPL 2025, the Indian cricket superstar emphasized that his motivation now comes purely from his love for the game.
Batting Maestro no longer pursues records, but is playing for the sole purpose of enjoying the cricket, as he goes to the twilight phase of his illustrious career.
Spread Kohli said, “I’m not playing for hits anymore. I’m playing only for the joy of the game.”
Kohli, meanwhile, has made it clear that social media has no role in his life while he, the battle superstar, turned to the online hassle on his absence on social media platforms when publishing anything related to the game.
With more than 270 million followers on Instagram and 66.1 million X/Twitter fans, the right hand mixer is one of the most influential athletes. However, his activity on social media is still focusing on brand promotions instead of Cricket’s milestones.
Following the victory of the Indian Champions ICC 2025, Kohli’s publications had paid promotions on his back: HSBC on March 10, a refreshment brand on March 11 and an energy drink on March 12. Despite the national triumph, there was no unique publication that celebrated the success of the team at the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. This left many disappointed and frustrated fans.
However, Kohli, who previously dominated social media platforms with his publications and interactions, are not worried about fan online reactions now. The Indian Cricket icon believes that without purpose technology is a distraction and prefers to keep it apart from unnecessary noise.
Kohli further stated: “I do not publish much on social media because without objective technology is destructive. Publication on social media does nothing different from my life. People’s comments have no reaction to me, so I don’t have to publish.”
Above all, Kohli had revealed his yo-yo score with his millions of fans in 2023, and for this breach, he was suppressed by the BCCI. Since then, Kohli has published very few publications on social media. It will be seen in the action at the IPL 2025, where RCB will face KKR on March 22 in Kolkata.
