The United States is being sent by South Africa Ambassador to Washington, and Secretary of State Mark Rubio said he was “no longer welcome in our big country.”
The report on X Rubio accused Ebogim Ambassador Rasol hated America and President Donald Trump.
He described him as a “policy engaged in race”, adding that “we have nothing to discuss with it.”
A rare step means the latest development in tension between the two countries.
BBC turned to the South African Embassy in Washington for comment.
In his post on Friday, Rubio contacted the article of the right exit of Breitbart, which quotes some recent raasol remarks during an online Trump administration.
“The fact that Donald Trump launches is an attack on anxiety, those who are in power, by mobilizing the supreme character against the incumbent … and abroad,” Rasol said at the event.
He added that the Maga movement was a response “to very expressive data showing great demographic shifts in the US, in which the electoral election choice will become 48 percent white.”
In response, Rubio called Rasole’s “Person Gratt”, citing the Latin phrase for an “unwanted man”.
A post from Rubio came when he went to Canada with a meeting with foreign ministers.
The ties between the US and South Africa deteriorate after Trump has taken office.
Last month, the US president signed an executive order that freezes assistance in South Africa. The order refers to the “outrageous actions” of South Africa and refers to “unfair racial discrimination” against white Africans – those who descended from Dutch settlers.
The order also refers to a new law, the law on expropriation, which requires an orientation on African -to, allowing the government to pick up private land.
“As long as South Africa continues to support bad actors on the world stage and allows for violent attacks on innocent unprecedented minorities, the US will stop assistance and assistance in the country,” the White House said.
The South African government denies that its law is linked to race, the Associated Press reports.
This section from the White House states that the country “brazenly discriminates against ethnic minorities.”
While lower rank diplomats are sometimes excluded, it is very unusual in the US that it happened with a higher official as a foreign ambassador, according to the Associated Press, noting that neither the US nor Russia took such actions against each other even against the backdrop of tensions during the Cold War.
Rasol previously held the post of ambassador to the US from 2010 to 2015 before he enrolled in 2025.
He was born and raised in Cape Town. When he was nine, he and his family were forcibly removed from an apartment that was announced only by white people. As he matured, he became more interested in politics and said that the eviction became an important point in his upbringing, which ruled his future.
