Red alerts about floods and landslides were issued for parts of Tuscany and Emilia-Romagne

Floods and landslides were reported in some parts of Northern Italy amid red alerts that affect the cities, including Florence and Pisa.

The raining rain pushed a warning about the parts of Tuscany and Emilia-Romagne, with heavy and persistent rainfall on Friday.

President Tuscany said local rescue and health services were more and advised residents to carry out “maximum attention and caution”.

Lands and dirty were registered in Bologna, where some residents were evacuated on Thursday night before heavy rain.

The roads were also affected by the floods and fallen trees, and the residents of Florence advised all the trips after the A1 freeway was partially closed.

The schools were closed in more than 60 municipalities in Tuscany, local media reported, like several Florence University campus.

Red alerts about the weather – indicating a serious risk of extreme and wide floods – should continue throughout the day.

Some rivers in Emilia-Ramanya were already swollen after the previous showers.
