A British man was killed in an incident with the participation of a vehicle on Kenya’s President Wilia Ruto.
The man, named 79-year-old Edgar Charles Frederick, died Thursday after he was hit in the accident on the main road of the capital, Nairobi.
Police have launched an investigation after the incident and detained the driver of the vehicle driving as part of the official convoy of President Ruto.
Police press secretary Michael Muchira told the BBC that Mr. Frederick visited Kenya to see his sister and nephew who are residents of the country.
The next striking sacrifice was informed and will probably be held later on Friday.
Police said the driver who could not stop after the accident would appear in court after the investigation.
The press secretary of the Verkhovna Commission of the UK said officials knew about reports and were looking for additional information.
Videos posted on social networks show a man in blue jeans and a light collar shirt that lies with blood flow outside the busy trading zone.
Other pictures show the victim covered with a proven scales, known as Maasai.
Mr. Muchira told the BBC that the vehicle belonged to the regional administration and supported the presidential details.
President Ruto held events in the area of the crash on Thursday as part of the permanent political communication with the public in the capital.
