Bridget and Ernest, 59, were one of the three teams that scored the first flight out of Hong Kong to Osaka. Ernest stepped to complete the challenge alongside Romain, 37, where they were tasked with performing Taiko’s drum routine. While Romain, a performer in Las Vegas, was able to easily raise the task, Ernest had a great deal of trouble and cost their leaders to both teams.
“(I probably missed a note here and there. I guess I don’t have the biggest rhythm happening here, I suppose I should,” said Ernest Us. “But we stayed with him and we could finish that part. We got after her. “
While Ernest, Bridget, Romain and Hamby had left the last intersection, they realized that they were not that far behind the others. After leaving the drums, the group embarked on the detour challenge, where they had a choice of making a Mochi or learned how to wrap Sumo Resider Mashi Dress properly.
Both teams chose Sumo wrestling task, where many teams were still working – to their joy. Romain and Hamby managed to persevere and proceed with the package, but Ernest and Bridget were not so lucky.
“When we reached the next challenge, we still had time to make up,” he reflected. “But we were just there. If it was a foot race, I think it would have been fine. “
With the stress of being in the last place, Ernest and Bridget have “in zones in” while performing the task in question – which may have fallen.
“We were caught up while trying to catch up and pass,” explained Ernest. “We didn’t stop and think about, well, maybe we should probably change (tasks.)”
Bridget echoed similar feelings, sharing that she wanted her and her father to pick up on the fact that the Sumo task was not as simple as they believed.
“Instead of being so excited that there are other teams there, I wish we could have been like, ‘Holy Moly, why are they still there?’” He meditated. “This must be a hard challenge and maybe (we should) have made the Mochi instead.”
While in the middle of the race, it is difficult to tell whether one discovery task seems better than the other. But after watching the episode back, Bridget thinks she and her father could have done the Mochi task “a little faster.”
In spite of their loss, Bridget remained positively throughout the experience As she has to spend quality time with her father.
“At the end of the day, I’m in another country. That is, I’m in Osaka, Japan. She is, at the end of the day, a game I have a chance to compete with my dad, ”she shared. “Yes, it was stressful, but I wanted to remind myself and as emotional as it came in last, as, many people didn’t get a chance to do something like this.”
