Passengers on the American Airlines flight were evacuated to the asphalt of Colorado airport when the fire broke out on the plane, sending the smoke that fell into the air.
The incident did not report injuries.
Personnel about evacuation on the Internet showed that the passengers squeezed over the wing of the commercial airliner, some holding the bags and the flames burns at the bottom of the plane.
The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said passengers used inflatable slides to safely reach the land. The agency said it was investigating the cause of the incident.
