Taylor referred to his recent appearance on Baskin “Hot Mic” podcastwhere he revealed his battle years with addiction.
“I have substance problems – mainly with cocaine. It’s hard to say loudly, ”Taylor said in the episode, who dropped on March 4.“ I’ve been dealing with this on and off since I was 23 and now I’m 45 years old. There were times where I would stop doing but then there were times where I would get heavy on it. “
Taylor acknowledged at the time fans VanderPump RulesWhich gave Bravo’s first appearance to the reality star in 2013, suspected he was “on something” while the show was being broadcast.
“Obviously, producing and (others) people, they didn’t know what I was doing,” added Taylor. “Everything I did was on my own, but I was on that train and I couldn’t come away.”
Taylor also announced that he had broken out alcohol to help him stay clean.
“I can’t make cocaine without drinking. So I gave up both, ”said Taylor, noting that he hopes to address these heavier subjects on” in man’s mind “every week.
Taylor further spoke of his past battles in a unique statement to Us as the podcast made headlines.
“For many years I have relied on alcohol and drugs as a way to cope and hide many deeper issues. This past year has been the hardest year of my life but also the most eye -catching and transformative opening, ”he said. “Coming to terms with my many mental health challenges and being honest about my bondage – with myself and others has been an integral part of my healing. It has been a day -to -day process, but I am committed to my recovery and are working towards a healthier future to be a better person and someone that my son will be proud of one day. “
