Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has meant reducing the country’s national players’ fees despite spending an unprecedented amount of money on other things related to the administration.
The PCB spent millions of dollars recently on the renewal of the three stadiums in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Karachi where the Champions Trophy was played. However, the reduction in the rates of national players raises issues on their preference.
According to PTI, the PCB has reduced the games of the players who participate in the next T20 National Championship, which is a national tournament of 20 more in Pakistan. The tournament will begin from March 14 in Faisalabad.
Party expenses have declined from 100,000 PKR per game to only 10,000 PKR per game. The reservation players will be paid 5,000 PKR per game and TPlayers will not be satisfied with the cut salaries in this way and it remains to see if any action is produced against the board.
The report also claims that Abdullah Khurram Niazi, who is the head of the domestic cricket in Pakistan, has been constantly reducing the facilities of house cricketers in recent months..
A fountain also stated that the players’ accommodation has also been changed and that they are now living in cheaper hotels compared to life in five star hotels earlier.
“Players who were offered for the first time at five -star and four star hotels are offered cheaper accommodation. The air journey for them has also been reduced, as well as rates,” said a source for PTI.
While players’ salaries have been reduced, the mentors of the five teams in the Champions Cup and national selectors continue to enjoy great advantages of the PCB. It is believed that the five Misbah-Ul-Haq mentors, Waqar Younis, Shoaib Malik, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Saqlain Mushtaq pay 5 million PKR per month.
Payments last season of the domestic cricket should not yet be cleaned for players and areas. The Pakistani Council still has to implement an annual pension regime for the former Country Test Cricters.
The Pakistan cricket is going through one of its worst moments today. The team tilted from the champions trophy in just four days after losing their first two games in New Zealand and India.
His failure in the semifinals, despite being the hosts, pulled a large amount of anger from the old cricketers in the country and the fans. The players were brutally beaten by their performances, and the board also faced the scrutiny for the fall of Pakistan’s cricket.
A controversy also recently emerged after the 2025 Championship Trophy when no Pakistan representative was present on the stage of the presentation ceremony after India’s victory. The PCB decided to file a complaint to the CPI on this subject and was clearly upset with this behavior.
