Artificial intelligence can eliminate the need for research analysts in the future, AlibabaChairman Joe Tsay stated on Wednesday at CNBC Get off live event in Singapore.
“Stock research analysts can be fully replaced … You can ask him to collect a report on NVIDIA or Apple, and it will do great work,” he said David Faber CNBC.
However, this does not mean that the roles of analysts will be eliminated at all, he said during a two -day live event CNBC at Jewel Changi airport.
“I don’t think it will completely replace people. It’s just improve the quality of work,” he said.
“I think the quality of the research can really be improved if many down -to -earth things related to research can be done by the machine, and then people can apply their opinions and make the best recommendations.”
He must also fundamentally change legal practice, he said, citing his own as a lawyer.
“If you write a contract … The whole document should match well, every sentence, every definition, must match each other. Well, II can do a lot of this, I would say that most,” he said. “Does this mean this in the future, the lawyers will be replaced by II? Not necessarily.”
He said that when customers hire “complex lawyers”, they really ask a lawyer.
“The lawyer is not what is technical or black and white is an opinion,” he said. “I still think these jobs can just improve the II rather than replace.”
