In recent development, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has been a major blow with just over 10 days left for the long -awaited Premier League (IPL) 2025. The Pealer Mayank Yadav, Tearaway, is lost the first half of the next T20 tournament, according to a report by Espwordinfo.
Lucknow Super Giants retained Mayank Yadav for 11 ₹ Crore ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. The Pacer Express was among the five preserved players, next to Ravi Bishnoi, who was also preserved by 11 ₹ Crore. Nicholas Polan was the most expensive withholding of the franchise based in Lucknow at € 21.
Mayank Yadav, who got his attention to his express rhythm, has faced various mishaps of his career injuries. He played only four games and took seven doctors in the IPL 2024 season before an abdominal strain discarded him. The Pealer won the back -to -back player of the match awards in his first two games.
The 22-year-old suffered another injury during the rehabilitation, but was able to recover in time for the T20i series against Bangladesh. He took four doctors at a financial rate of 6.92 in his international unit. The quick diaper of the right arm was not considered in the series of England earlier this year due to an injury.
According to Espncricinfo, Mayank Yadav is currently recovering from a low back stress injury and has resumed bowls at the BCCI’s center of excellence in Bengaluru. The report added that it could return to the second half of the IPL 2025.
“Espncricinfo has learned that Mayank recovers from a lumbar stress injury and has just resumed bowling at the BCCI excellence center in Bengaluru, where he has been rehabilitated after his Indian debut in the T20I series against Bangladesh last October,” the report added.
There is no return date for Yadav, but if its rehabilitation progresses well, it could be available for the second half. It is worth mentioning that it was bought by $ 20 Lakh as a player without cutting in front of the IPL 2024.
In February 2025, Lucknow Super Giants’s director Zaheer Khan stated that the franchise was working with the BCCI medical team to plan Mayank Yadav’s recovery. He emphasized that they would only take him back when he was fully in shape.
“As much as we are interested in having it (play in IPL 2025), we want 150% to fit not only 100%, so we will do our best to get it there,” said Zaheer.
Rishab Pant was appointed LuckNow Super Giants Captain after being purchased for $ 27 from Crore. LSG will launch its IPL 2025 campaign against Delhi Capitals (DC) on March 24 to Dr. Ys Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium by Visakhapatnam.
Next season he will start on March 22, with champions defending Kolkata Knight Riders in front of Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the starting game.
