The Vice-Capitan of England, Harry Brook, decided to surprise the entire IPL 2025 season. The decision to get a few days before the IPL surprised many. Former Captain of England, Nasser Hussain, spoke on this subject and speculated the reason behind it.
Hussain believes that Harry Brook already has a lot on his plate, as he is one of the few cricketers in all formed by England. With Jos Buttler who has given up the captaincy, Brook is also considered as the role of the white ball of England.
In recent years, Brook has grown into stature and has transformed into the main point of the battles department for all formats. However, its sudden retreat from the IPL has been a sudden blow for its fans.

While talking to Sky Sports, Nasser Hussain speculated Harry Brook’s reason, who left the IPL 2025. Being Brook already has a lot on his plate and maybe he would have had a conversation with England’s CEO, Roby about the captaincy of England.
“I think it could be a sign (to retire from the IPL 2025). Rob Key may have spoken and said,” You have a lot on the plate. Maybe we want to captain. “
“He lost the last for personal family reasons. He may think that well, I will focus on the trial match cricket,” said the former pattern of England.
England will play a series of five -game tests against India at home from June 2025. Then they will travel to Australia for a series of ashes outside. Brook is likely to play a key role in both series.
Nasser Hussain also stated that Rob Key and Brook could have had a conversation about the latter’s workload. Wait for Brook to return to the rhythm soon since he has rested from the IPL.
“I would be surprised that Rob Key has not yet had a conversation with him and asked me what you think of your workload the following year and that maybe it was the conversation. Only Rob Key and Harry Brook will know,” said Hussain.
“But he has rested and, in hope, he will return to the rhythm, he will find some form and he will shoot and shoot in two series of absolutely vital evidence ahead,” added the old Bull of England.
Harry Brook left the IPL for the second season. He played Delhi Capital this season after the franchise was packed by INR 6.25 Crore. Brook’s decision was transmitted by the BCCI to the BCCI last week, which later informed Delhi Capitals.
There is a great chance that Brook can be banned for two years of participating in the IPL according to the new IPL rules. The IPL still has to do it, but Brook made it clear on social media that it takes time to cool off a hectic calendar.
