Karni talkedly talks with the threat of Trump

Mark Karni’s victory in the race for Justin Trudu’s success makes him not only the leader of the Liberal Party, but, by default, the next Prime Minister of Canada.

This is a stunning result for a person with very little political experience. He was never elected a deputy, not to mention the position in the office.

What Karni has – as the governor of the Canadian bank during the global financial crisis and the governor of the Bank of England during Brexit talks is a long performance in world finances during economic turbulence.

And at the moment as this, Carney argued, which could be invaluable.

The politician in this country was turned on the head as a result of what was happening south of the border, and US President Donald Trump has launched a trade war and threatened to do Canada 51st states.

Speaking to the crowd of supporters of the liberal after the results of the competition, the leadership on Sunday night, Carney promised to face threats of Trump, on the occasion of tariffs and claims for Canada’s sovereignty.

“Canada will never be part of America in any way, form and form,” he said. “We did not ask for this fight, but the Canadians are always ready when someone else throws gloves.

How he translates his strong language on the stage in Ottawa on the practical solutions of these tasks -however, was much less clear.

Liberals may hope that the Trudu’s way out of the stage will help to clear the air.

Instead of frequent bullying Trud Trump as a “weak” leader, they may dare to believe that Carney will at least be able to lose personal chemistry.

On the other hand, if he will have to press the attempt to win concessions, or does it risk taking anger of a person who uses unpredictability as a political form of art?

Most of this will depend on how seriously the US president is in his persistent, that he wants to impose real economic pain on Canada and attach his territory.

And it is difficult to answer.

After Carney accepted the nomination of the party, I caught up with former Canadian Prime Minister Jean Critien, who worked for ten years since 1993 and took the stage earlier.

Did he think Mr. Trump is serious?

Realizing the danger, Pooliver accused the liberals of “trying to deceive the Canadians” to choose them for a fourth term. But his statement also emphasized how Trump changes political messages on this side of the border.

“This is the same liberal team that has raised taxes, housing and food prices, while Carney personally made a profit from the movement of billions of dollars and thousands of jobs from Canada to the United States,” Paylieur wrote.

“We need a new conservative government to put Canada first for change.”

In the elections, Donald Trump forced Canada to rally toward the flag and forced the former Central Bank Governor – the archetypal member of the country’s political elite – to the highest position in the land.

Conservatives can still continue in the elections, but for the first time in a long time the liberals believe that Karni has a chance to fight again.
