Taylor Swift subtle love Travis Kelce break Kansas City Chiefs touchdown record.
The pop star, 35, dropped a “like” on Chiefs Instagram post celebrating Kelce, who is also 35, earning the most receiving touchdowns in KC history.
Kelce and the Chiefs played the Pittsburgh Steelers on Wednesday, December 25, where the tight end earned his third shutout of the NFL season. His overall record is now surpassed Tony Gonzalez.
“It’s everything to me. Tony has been my mentor, he’s been there for me (with) any questions I’ve ever had,” Kelce said in a postgame interview. “I feel like I’m still trying to fill that guy’s shoes. He is such an unbelievable competitor and I have so much love for him. It’s an honor to be able to speak with him.”
However, Swift was not present at Pennsylvania’s Acrisure Stadium to watch Kelce and the Chiefs win 29-10.
Last year, Taylor brought her parents, Scott a Andrea Swiftand her brother, Austin Swiftwith her to Kansas City, Missouri, for Christmas. At the time, the family attend Kelce’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium.
Despite a disappointing loss to the Chiefs on Christmas Day in 2023, Kelce offered insight into how he celebrated with Taylor and her family, praising Austin, 32, with revitalizing holiday cheer by dressing up in a Santa Claus suit and handing out personal gifts.
“It was a full commitment. It killed him,” Travis recalled of his brother Jason Kelce is “New Heights” podcast in December 2023. “He made me feel like a kid because his gift to me was straight out of the bag.”
He added, “(He) gave me a VHS of my favorite football movie ever… Little Giants.”
Despite the negativity of the game, Travis expressed gratitude for his loved ones who helped save the holiday.
“It ended well with Christmas cheer and great people,” he said. “That’s always going to save Christmas no matter if you lose to the Raiders or not.”
Earlier this month, Us Weekly just reveal that Taylor planned to host Christmas with her and the Travis families this year.
The holiday comes a few weeks after Taylor she finished Journey of Eras in Vancouver on December 8. The 149-date tour ran from March 2023 to December 2024, spanning five continents, raked in more than $2 billion and was attended by 10.1 million fans. Now, she is ready to enjoy some much needed rest.
“Taylor is exhausted,” a source exclusively said Us earlier this month. “She is excited for some relaxation and idle time.”
Taylor’s free time will of course include Travis after juggling their busy schedules since starting their relationship in the summer of 2023.
“Taylor plans to stay in and hibernate (with Travis) for a while,” the insider shared. “They want to do ‘normal things’ as a couple.”
As the pair consider the next step in their relationship, the source said their two families are “very intertwined,” adding that it feels “like they’ve been a part of each other’s lives for years.”
