Casemiro admits that it is “too soon” to discuss the future of Man Utd as the contract ends

Casemiro says he is “too early” to determine if he will remain in Manchester United next season.

The Brazilian midfielder, who has seen his play time reduce under the manager Ruben Amorim, also expressed his desire for more minutes on the pitch.

The 33 -year -old currently has a contract in Old Trafford until 2026, but with United seeking to reduce their salary invoice, speculations have grown up regarding a possible output on the nearby transfer window.

Speaking of his future, Casemiro suggested that any decision would be made closer to the summer.

“It’s too early to talk about next season, but of course I have another year of contract and then an option,” he said. “We have important games and on Sunday we have the arsenal.

Since joining Manchester United of Real Madrid in 2022, Casemiro has played a key role in the midfield.

However, since Amorim took over in November, he has been limited to only seven beginnings. With doubts about the physical form of Manuel Ugarte, who was absent from the recent 1-1 United States tie with Real Sociedad, Casemiro could appear against Arsenal this weekend.

Despite his small role, the experienced midfielder made it clear that he is committed to giving the best for the team while also recognizing his desire for more play time.

“Of course, I want to play, but I always say, and these are my values, I respect the coach a lot, I respect the club,” he added. “Every day I go to Carrington or Old Trafford, I try to do my best. If a player is on the bench and is happy, this player is worth nothing for any team.
