Mark Bullingham, the CEO of the Football Association, praised Tuchel’s dedication to his new role, highlighting a key difference from his predecessor, Gareth Southgate, the German manager has decided to settle in London and is a common presence in Sant Jordi Park.
“I think Thomas realized soon that you do not create these connections in the six days you are joining, so it has been very hard,” said Bullingham.
Tuchel has been proactive in creating relationships with his workforce, creating a long list of 55 players, including national and international stars, ensuring that they feel recognized and valued.
“I think he is 55 years old on this long list and ensures that he has a strong connection with them, who know he has seen them. Not only are the players in England, but they are also players abroad and I think this will only stay in a good long term place,” added Bullingham.
The former Chelsea CAP has not only kept frequent contact with players through telephone calls, but also has traveled to meet key characters such as Harry Kane, Kyle Walker and Jude Bellingham.
Bullingham also recognized Tuchel’s cultural awareness and adaptability, similar to Southgate. Although the manager has signed an 18 -month contract, there are speculations on whether he can stay longer. However, Tuchel stays cautious on long -term commitments.
“I think he always said,” I could be here for ten years, but I will only register in two -year cycles effectively. And the reason for this is that he just wants his only focus to be in the next tournament and really with the players with this, but he is very soon to judge, but I can say that he has already had a brilliant impact, so we are very happy with him, “said Bullingham.
Despite the short time in charge, Tuchel has already left a strong impression on the FA and his workforce.
