Alastair Cook has raised his concern about the preparation and training methods of the National Clicet team in England, under the main coach Brendon McCullum after they did not reach the knockouts of the ICC Champions Trophy in current 2025.
Former captain and legendary batter of England believes that the current relaxed approach to the locker room may not be the best to maintain high performance levels in all three formats of the game. Despite some promising results in the test cricket, McCullum has struggled to guide England in the final of the ICC World Test Championship in two cycles.

Longevity players are the best coaches: Stuart Broad
The legendary English Paceman insisted that top -level training is still a priority, but success depends on a player’s dedication. He pointed out legends such as Joe Root, James Anderson and Jos Buttler as examples of those who thrived due to their work ethic.

Above all, Jos Buttler has resigned as a white ball captain from England after the team did not defend the World Cup of Hate in 2023 and the bad performance in the World Cup of the T20 of 2024 and now at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The ECB still has to name Buttler’s successor.
