In the second semi-final of the ICC Champions Troophy 2025, the South African Cricket National Team, led by Tila Bavuma, closed its horns with the National New Zealand National Cricular team led by Mitchell Santner.
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 between South Africa and New Zealand was hosted at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday, March 5.
After being invited to Bowl first in the party, South -Africa did a terrible job. Rachin Ravindra (108), Kane Williamson (102), Daryl Mitchell (49) and Glenn Phillips (49) recorded Proteas bowls, and Glenn Phillips (49), as the Kiwis recorded the largest score in ICC Champions Trophy history.
Lungi Ngidi was the highest performer with the ball while taking 3 doctors while Kagiso Rabada grabbed 2 doctors and Wiaan Mulder took 1 wick.
Pursuing the goal, South -Africa lost Ryan Ricelton at the beginning, but Tila Bavuma and Rassie Van der Dussen stabilized the tickets with their bright fifty.
However, after its dismissal, South -Africa lost its doctors at regular intervals and stopped during 312/9 to lose the game for 50 runs. With this, South -Africa again faced a stroke in the ICC party.
Speaking after the game, the South African Pattern Bavuma said that the Kiwis published a total above the board. Said:
“(To the target) I think I was above the par.
Temba Bavuma added that New Zealand put them under pressure from the beginning and praised their batters to do a good job in the game.
“They really put us under the pressure of the word, the way they could drill the out of the side and the way they played in half.
Temba Bavuma said they had to be more decisive as they persecuted and should not have allowed New Zealand to dominate.
“We were 125/1 and I and Rassie we still beat. Unfortunately, we could not establish this base for them. A little gentle dismissal for me and a better dismissal for Rassie and we left too much for them in the end. Just as I said at the beginning, as I mentioned that we were 125/1, we had to be more decisive, not to give an opportunity to return to the opposition. Care of the face of the face.
South Africa succumbed to a loss of six weeks against New Zealand in his previous party Hate, which was part of the Pakistan Tri-Nation series, in Lahore on February 10, 2025. Despite publishing a good total of 304/6 on the Council, thanks to Matthew Breetzke, the Proteas could not defend him.
First, South -Africa began to begin, as Kiwi bowls made sure that they did not mark fast races. Tumba Bavuma (20) fell soon, but the debutant Breeetzke played a blow for the ages. He made his debut sensational, with his magnificent entrances from 150 to 148 balls.
Jason Smith (41) and Wiaan Mulder (64) supported him, but at the southbound entrances -Africa did not have the necessary acceleration in the media. Therefore, they were reduced to a huge score.
Defending the target, the South Bowling Unit -Africa did not work well. The Star Lungi Ngidi (0/54) and Tabraiz Shamsi bowls (0/62) struggled to contain the Battle of New Zealand.
Senuran Mthusamy (2/50) was the only brilliant place, collecting key doctors, including Daryl Mitchell and Tom Latham in successive deliveries.
Eathan Bosch (1/33) and Junior Dala (1/47) also chose doctors, but the bowls did not have answers for the 133 unbeaten of Kane Williamson and on 97 Devon Conway as New Zealand pursued the destination comfortably with eight balls per spare spare.
