CPI President Jay Shah attended the first semifinal of the ICC Champions Troophy 2025 between India and Australia at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, March 4. In a viral video, Jay Shah was seen celebrating from the stands after Alex Carey took place after a direct success of Shreyas Iyer.
India, directed by Rohit Sharma, successfully pursued 265 runs in 48.1 points. Blue’s men won a jar in the Champions Trophy Final for the third time in a row. They were revenge on the 2023 World Hate Cup final, where India suffered a disappointing loss in Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Australia won the launch and chose the baptism first in the semifinal. Captain Steve Smith scored 73 throws of 96 balls, while Alex Carey contributed with a rapid 61 of 57 deliveries. Australia launched by 264 in 49.3 points, without taking advantage of its solid beginnings. At one stage, it was fixed by scoring 300 runs.
In the first ball of the 48th, Carey tried a second risky race after making a hardik pandya shooter, slower delivery. Shreyas Iyer charged from the deep square leg and collected it cleanly. Iyer fired a timely release at the end of the Wicketkeeper, but Carey, who did not immerse himself, was a short distance from his fold.
After Iyer’s direct success led to the operation of Alex Carey, Jay Shah was seen celebrating from the stands. A video that captured his animated reaction after Australia lost his eighth Wicket has gone viral on the Internet.
Alex Carey scored his second half a consecutive century in the Champions Trophy of 2025. Before being fired, he hit eight four and six.
Previously in the tournament, Carey had played a vital ticket against England in Lahore on February 22. The left baptism marked 69 runs of 63 balls. He formed a collaboration of 146 runs for the fifth wick with Josh Inglis, who remained unbeaten in 120.
The final of the Champions Trophy will take place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, March 9. India will face the winner of the second semifinal between New Zealand and South -Africa, which is currently taking place in Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday, March 5.
India previously played against New Zealand in the 2000 Trophy Final and faced South -Africa in the T20 World Cup final of 2024 in Bridgetown on June 29. If India broadcasts victory on Sunday, it will become the first team to win three champions trophies titles.
