The Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) has introduced a complete set of guidelines aimed at improving professionalism, discipline and operational efficiency within the Indian Men’s Cricket team. This policy, aimed at addressing issues that have appeared during recent visits, establishes a strong precedent to promote unity, prioritize domestic cricket and say that the team is still focusing on their commitments.
To maintain a connection with the Indian base cricket ecosystem, players must participate in national matches to keep it eligible for national teams and central contracts. This measure not only supports the development of the talent, but also inspires cricketers in management, allowing them to play with the best professionals. The exceptions will only be done in extraordinary circumstances with prior approval.
All players have to travel with the team for games and practice sessions. Discouraged travel arrangements with families are discouraged, emphasizing the cohesion and discipline of the team. Any deviation from this directive must be approved by the main coach and chairman of the Selection Committee.
A repression against players who carry personal staff, such as hairdressers, chefs or babysitters, aims to streamline logistics and maintain focus on team operations. Only the staff approved explicitly by the BCCI will be allowed, guaranteeing a professional and distraction free environment.
For more than 45 days abroad visits, the families of the players can join them for a period of two weeks during a single visit. While the BCCI will cover shared accommodation during this period, other expenses will be borne by the players. This policy balances personal well -being with professional responsibilities, while deviations require prior approval.
Players must remain throughout the duration of the internship sessions, fostering strong work ethics and a team spirit. It is forbidden to strictly leave the time trip or separate to the sessions.
To avoid distractions, players prevent them from participating in personal outbreaks or guarantees during a series or ongoing tour. This guarantees that your approach remains exclusively on the cricket.
Regardless of whether the games conclude before the schedule, players must remain with the team until the official end of the series or the tour. This measure strengthens the unit of the team and avoids the interruptions of the team’s dynamics.
Players must adhere to the prescribed luggage limits, with excessive costs supported by them. Coordination to send personal equipment or articles to the Center of Excellence will also be added to minimize logistics challenges.
Failure to comply with these guidelines will involve disciplinary actions, which may include:
The BCCI policy is designed to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and discipline. Encouraging unity and rationalization of operations, the BCCI aims to create an environment where players can prosper and act to the maximum. Compulsory domestic participation further strengthens the Indian cricket pipeline, guaranteeing continuity in the development of talent.
With these guidelines, the BCCI has sent a clear message: professionalism and unity are not negotiable. These measures not only address past concerns, but also set a solid base for the future, ensuring that Team India continues to be a cohesive and high -performance unit on the global scenario. Prioritizing discipline and operational efficiency, the BCCI is opening the way for excellence sustained in the Indian cricket.
