Richardson Hitchins is choosing Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney to win his fights on May 2 card in Times Square in New York City. Haney’s comeback struggle against the ex-WBC and Wbo champion of 140 pounds Jose Ramirez (29-2, 18 kos) is the one who feels that he could lose. Ramírez can hit and has the pedigree fond of winning.
The former world champion of two divisions, Haney, was abandoned three times by Ryan, and probably saved by the referee in the seventh round of his fight on April 20. If Haney’s chin is not the same for this loss, Ramírez will take advantage of this weakness.
Hitchins believes that the former heavy weight champion of WBA Light Rolly (16-2, 12 kos) can no longer punch since Geronta Davis was eliminated in the sixth round three years ago in 2022. Ve Garcia (24-1, 20 kos) as he had too much power to resist without being out.
Richardson believes that Haney and Ryan only struggle for money now, and do not care about winning belts or to improve their craft. They are entrepreneurs now and take struggles that “make sense” financially.
“Rolly, I would like to give it an opportunity, but the chin is so shot. He can’t endure a punch,” said Richardson Hitchins to FighthypeSpeaking of Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero’s Punch Resistance will betray him against Ryan Garcia.
Romero has always been a defective fighter throughout his career. Mayweather’s promotions coincided with a weak opposition and was lucky with his controversial victory over Jackson Marinez in 2020. The ninth Rolly victory won Ismael Barroso, 40, on May 13, 2023, was equally questionable.
He was the one in which the referee Tony Weeks stopped the fight after Romero launched a five -punch combination that affected the air. Nothing landed, but the weeks stopped the action and gave Rolly a knockout victory. Barroso was there as: “What happened?” No review, nothing. Everything seemed staged in a WWE skit.
“After the tank touched it, he cannot endure a punch. He is not the same fighter. Even the last struggle he fought (Manuel Jaimes) and the danger he had with all this spark. He no longer succeeds. Therefore, I will give it to Ryan Garcia.
“ Ryan is the oldest boy and I think he has more devastating power than Rolly. I think he can take his power more than Rolly can. As for Jose Ramirez and Devin. Stylistically, Devin would have to win the fight, but again I could see Jose Ramirez also giving Devin’s problems. The two boys (Garcia and Haney) would have to win, ” he said.
Devin and his father, Bill Haney, must have Ramirez, 32, after losing something from their game from their best from 2018 to 2021. Bill is like a vulture, choosing prey for his son, Devin. Obviously, he sees the vulnerability to Ramírez for him, since the green light that this struggle passes. Bill was in the entire Regis program and George Kamboses Jr. Fights, eager for the two to be opponents in Dvin.
Ramírez seems slower, but his power is still the same. He still punches and struggles with the same high -pressure style that brought him success before his career.
In some ways, this struggle is harder for Haney than his last against Ryan Garcia because Ramírez will not be achieved. He will keep the pressure on Haney, forcing him to move and defend.
“I would like to see Ryan Garcia and Devin play in the second struggle. Therefore, we hope to do his job. But I really don’t see too much spoilers. If there were one, maybe it would be in the fight of Jose Ramírez. I think the struggle of Jose Ramirez vs. Devin Haney is a more competitive struggle than Rolly and Ryan.
“I think they will be the same. Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney himself,” Richardson said when he was asked if the long dismissal will have changed Ryan and Haney on his card on May 2. “I feel like they are in some business now. They try to make sense.
“Devin Haney is not worried about too many belts. It looks more like money. I don’t see these guys do things to make their game very different. I am pretty sure they will improve as a boxer, but I do not see it stylistically that Devin will become a pointed power or pressure to raise their game. I think we will see the same boys.”
