Barcelona – Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission Brandan Car on Monday promised to protect the interests of technology companies in America from “excessive” European regulation, as it called for “level and fair conditions”.
Speaking to the audience of the leaders of the technology industry and analysts at the Mobile Conference of the World Congress in Barcelona, Kar stated that technological giants were perceived as “excessive” and “incompatible” with US values.

Heno Virkunun, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission on Technology Sovereignty, Security and Democracy, did not directly address the US regulator’s comments on excessive European rules during the speech during the panel discussion after Carra’s comments.
Instead, she said that Europe is committed to increasing the competitiveness in the block when it comes to technological innovation and digital transformation.
“We offer some … packages where we review our rules,” Virkunun said. She also called for the creation of a digital single market to harmonize the regulation of technology and telecommunications industries in the EU.
