Israeli police say one was killed in a knife attack at the railway station

An elderly man was killed and four more were injured in the police, according to police, was a terrorist attack in the Northern Israeli city of Haifa.

It happened on the central train and the Hamifrats bus station, and the attacker was shot at the scene by guards, police said.

The victim, who died, was under 70, Magen’s ambulance David Adom said. A 15-year-old boy and a man and a woman in the 30s were in a serious condition, and a 70-year-old woman was moderate by adding.

Police said the attacker was an Israeli man of rubble from the city of Spalt, who recently returned from the border. Such an attack by a member of the Israeli community is rare.

Druze is an ethnic and religious group whose faith is an offshoot of Shiite Islam. About 150,000 live in Israel and occupied Galans heights, which make up about 1.5% of the population.

The witness told the Israeli website Walla News that the attacker went to Haifa on the bus with Spurama, which is about 10 km (6 miles) east of Haifa.

He stabbed the passengers with a knife when the bus arrived at the train station and then came out and attacked others for the competition, the witness said.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: “My wife Sarah and I sent our deepest condolences to a person who was killed in a shocking terrorist attack in Haifa.

“We will continue to fight everywhere against those who seek to kill us and we will win them.”

There was no immediate claim to any armed groups, but Hamas called the attack as a “heroic” and “natural answer” to what he called Israeli crimes against the Palestinians.

Among the deadlocks between Hamas and Israel moves forward with a six -week gas cease agreement.

Israel stopped assistance from the gas entry after Hamas rejected what Netanyahu’s office said the US proposal to expand the first phase that ended on Saturday night.

Hamas accused Israel of restoring the deal and stated that the second stage should go forward as agreed.
