Most Star Wars fans agree that the progression trilogy is one big pile of Bantha Poodoo, but far too many people blame the wrong person for the failures of these films. From the outset, platforms like YouTube have been filled with Weirdos who blames Daisy Ridley as if she had any real creative control over her character or arc of these films. But as director Martin Campbell recently noted, Daisy Ridley is a great Actor, and his kind words remind us that Hardcore Rey doesn’t hate him simply knowing how films work.

If you do not already know, Campbell is a former Ridley Director of Action Film who recently directed Ridley Cleaner. In a recent interview, the Director praised how great her performance was in the film, highlighting a specific scene and identifying how “convincing” she was and how “she takes a good actress to do.” While reading his kind words about Daisy RidleyI couldn’t help but reflect so much that her hats do not understand some simple truths: namely, that even the best actors are as good as the script and the director allows them to be.
What does that mean in the context of the famous Star Wars sequence trilogy, though? Many Ridley’s criticism began as a criticism of her character Rey, with annoying fans claiming to be Mary Sue’s character who is crazy and has more plot armor than Jabba The Hutt has a fat back. Now, we can argue about whether Daisy Ridley’s character was as bad as the haters say or not, but it’s important to recognize something fundamental here: She did not write the script.

It’s one thing to hate character, but another thing is to hate the actor who brings that character to life. To appreciate how stupid Daisy Ridley’s biggest haters are, need to look further than how Mark Hamill looks Luke Skywalker Character was portrayed in The last Jedi. Many fans openly hated that this hero of the original trilogy was now burning Cranky who walked away from saving the galaxy, and even took Hamill himself in the new direction for his character.
However, Mark HamillUnlike Daisy Ridley, he had no army of hasters on -le waiting to jump on it because of the changes to Luke. That’s because, at the most basic level, fans realized that while Hamill was a great actor, he was limited by script and direction Rian Johnson. If Luke Skywalker is terribly written, then no one, or even Hamill himself, can save this beloved character.

Why, then, do Daisy Ridley haters think she has somehow ruined the sequel trilogy? It is possible (quite likely, even) that much of this hatred is fired by the misrepresentation of the idiotic YouTubers whose whole Schtick blames women for everything they hate for movies and TV. It is also possible that this younger generation of film fans have no real idea how films are made, leading to their actors blaming that they had no creative control over their characters or plots.
If you are a Daisy Ridley haters, here’s a challenge: look at her performance in non -star wars like Murder on the Orient Express. King Marsh’s daughterand Cleaner. You will probably be surprised at the best by how great it performs in movies without designed junk scripts, above all, to sell toys. With any luck, Ridley’s career has not been permanently affected, and starring in the sequence trilogy is not the first step down a dark path that will forever dominate her fate.
