Tony Hawk It may not hit any more iconic hose tricks in the near future, but the skateboard legend is not interested in talking about “retirement.”
“I do not know what retirement means,” Hawk, 56, reveals only the new edition of Weekly USproving he is just like Us. “Keep doing what you love and that is a sign of success, is what I say and what I do.”
From his point of view, he is far from retired. “Honestly, I don’t even know what that looks like,” he said.
Hawk-who came the first skateboarder in history came to land 900, marking the completion of two-and-a-half mid-altar revolutions, in June 1999-that he plans to skate for as long as his body allows.

“I feel as if I could stand on my own feet, I could put wheels underneath,” he argues. “It doesn’t mean I’ll make a kick flops, but yes, for sure.”
Despite his Benchant for risk taking, Hawk explains that he has been forced to start thinking about his health as any normal person who has not spent his adult life spinning through the air.
“I’ve learned to appreciate sleep far more than ever these days,” he told us. “When I was younger, I was staying up late. I was on red eyes. I got up early to do things. It’s all still up to you, father time, especially when you’re active. “
Hawk added, “If I get seven or eight hours of sleep, it’s a gift.”

Us: When was the last time you washed clothes?
Tony: Oh, that was last week.
Us: What was the last thing you stayed in line for?
Tony: Es ii college forum for my daughter (Cadence), and stayed in line in a couple of booths for colleges.
Us: What is your Doordash Order or Take Out?
Tony: Oh wow, that’s very difficult. Well, I enjoy Taco Bell every once in a while, but I generally pick it up myself, so it’s usually a pizza for the kids.
Us: Who was the last famous person you asked you to take a selfie?
Tony: Let’s see. He was probably Jack Black.
Us: What is one task or error you still postpone or you often publish on?
Tony: Cleaning wiring clutter on my desk.
