At least four people were killed and a few others went missing after the avalanche came to the Northern Indian state of Uttarakand, the authorities said.
The rescue operation was carried out after the Tibet border is divided on Friday in the village of Mani.
About 50 people who were buried under the snow and garbage were rescued, but four died of injuries, the Indian army said.
