Tank vs. Roach & Valenzuela vs. Russell: Weight results for Saturday

WBA light champion, Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis vs. Lamont Roach and the WBA Light Welterweight champion, Jose ‘Rayo’ Valenzuela vs. Gary Antuanne Russell, successfully weighed on Friday, for their fights on Saturday night on March 1 at the Brooklyn Barclays Center, New York.

The deposit seemed visibly drained today and could say that it would be a lot of weight during the night after rehydrating. It exceeded it, reaching so low to 133.8 pounds instead of near the full limit of the division. This is a fairly basic title defense for Davis, and it is not one of its harshest to make it so light.

The only thing that makes sense is that Tank wants to be lighter, knowing that it will have to be more due to Roach’s technical skills. He will not come to Davis, looking for him to direct him in the way Ryan Garcia, Isaac Cruz, Frank Martin and Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero did.
