Kim Kardashian turns up the jam once again!
The Kardashians The star and co-founder of Skims, 44, stunned fans by releasing a cover of Eartha Kitt‘Santa Baby’ late Sunday, December 22, just in time for Christmas.
Kim’s cover is produced by none other than her brother-in-law, Travis Barkerwho is married to Kim’s older sister, Kourtney Kardashian. The song was released via streaming services Sunday through DTA Records, Barker’s record label, and Kimsaprincess, Inc.
Kim also dropped a supporting video for her return to music on Sunday. The dystopian clip shows Kim crawling on all fours in a blonde wig with money strewn across the floor, while an eclectic cast of characters can be seen celebrating a not-so-cheerful Christmas. The video concludes with a close-up of a creepy Santa holding what is revealed to be a video camera Macaulay Culkinstar of the iconic holiday film, Home Alone.

Kim’s Christmas cover comes 13 years after she made her music debut with the song, “Jam (Turn It Up),” produced by the Grammy-winning music producer The Dreamin 2011. At the time, Kim said she was releasing the track for charity and would not be releasing a full-length album.

During an August 2014 appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy CohenKim admitted that she regretted her pursuit of music.
“It’s definitely a memory and it was a fun experience. We donated the proceeds to a cancer organization,” he said he said. “But if there’s one thing in life I don’t like to do… I don’t like it when people dabble in things they shouldn’t be. And I don’t think I should have. Like, what gave me the right to think I could be a singer? Like, I don’t have a good voice.”
In addition to returning to the recording studio, Kim has been making big strides in Hollywood this year. She is currently filming a a new legal drama created by Ryan Murphy for Hulu. All Fairwhich boasts an all-star cast including Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash, Glenn Close and more, premiering in 2025. Kim will also star in and produce a comedy for Netflix called The Fifth Wheel.
“It’s wonderful,” Paulson praise Kim’s work ethic in an interview with Variety in November. “She’s incredibly present. It’s fun, it’s a game, it’s live for the moment. She’s great.”
