Janelle Brown takes a second look at her marriage to Kody Brown After their split – including their finances.

Janelle, who was Kody’s second wife, noted that it was “great” to have family fund when they were a multiple unit. Looking back, however, he claimed that money had become a problem for everyone. (Janelle announced her separation from Kody, 55, in December 2022 after Christine, 52, called it quits in November 2021.)

TLC/YouTube Janelle Brown revealed during the latest episode of Sister Wives that she blamed the family’s money problems – especially on Kody Brown. Janelle, 55, told Christine Brown during the Sunday, November 24, episode of the TLC series, after talking to Meri Brown, one episode before she realized that Kody, 55, (…)

He claimed, “And then the last several years, Kody would take money out and I don’t know what. And the money was just being spent – and lots of it. “

Kody – who was once married to Janelle and Christine as well as Mary Brown a Robyn Brown – he denied the charges that he spent money without cause. (Meri, 53, and Kody confirmed their split in January 2023. He is still married to Robyn, 46.)

“I was a father to an 18-year-old and a husband to more than just Janelle,” Kody quoted. “So we had a lot of places that money needed to go that weren’t always Janelle’s business.”

He explained that since Janelle “does the bookkeeping” for the family, she sees all the transactions without the reasoning coming across her desk. “So, some of the bills to be paid by all of us were supposed to be paid by her,” Kody added.

Meanwhile, Janelle argued that she didn’t have as much access to the money as Kody claimed.

“He loves this mantra that I was (the) powerful one somehow with all the financial control,” Janelle fired back, insisting, “I was the only person who recorded the transactions and sent them to the CPA.”

Earlier this season, Janelle claimed that Kody had been spreading lies how much influence she had with their family finances. She claimed that Kody told Meri during their marriage that Janelle “managed the money,” which was not true.

“I’m like, ‘Dude, man, if I managed the money, we would have paid off (Coyote Pass and) built a house,'” Janelle told Christine during the Nov. 24 episode. She claimed that simply recorded “what was spent and sent it to the accountant.”

Kody didn’t clear up the misconception at the time, telling the cameras, “It’s funny, my other wives remember Janelle controlling the money.” He admitted that he was “kind of a guide to where the money went” but claimed that “everyone has access to the account.”

On Sunday’s episode, Janelle and Meri were Finally on the same page for money – and their ongoing land dispute with Kody and Robyn. Kody’s ex-wives agreed to each their own lawyers so they could get an equal share of the family’s coyote-passing property in Arizona.

Following Christine’s split from Kody, she gave her share of the land to her ex-husband and his fourth wife, Robyn. Janelle and Meri, however, are still on the deed and therefore want to sell and get money from their respective assets.

“I trusted that it would all work out in the end. And looking back now, I’m like, ‘Wow, it’s really dumb. Why didn’t I insist that we all bear the title on all the pieces? ‘” Janelle told the cameras. “I was just too trusting, I guess.”

Speaking to Meri about what they owe, the two women said they were “paying for the land out of the family account” and were “paying for it equally.”

Janelle Brown was overcome with emotion as she thought about her next steps after her explosive fight with Kody Brown on Sister Wives. During the Sunday, September 10, episode of the TLC reality series, viewers saw Janelle and Kody, both 54, grappling with the aftermath of the spat that aired a week before. With tears healing (…)

Kody, however, claimed that was not the case. “We didn’t pay for Pass Coyote all equally. I paid for a whole lot all by myself, at least 92 percent of it,” he claimed. “The rest of the property, we all broke in.”

The different memories lead to even more tension between Kody and the women. “I feel like Kody and Robyn have some plan of what they want to do and how they want to handle it. I think Janelle has some kind of plan, and I know I’m doing so well,” Meri explained. “And none of us talk to each other because none of us trust each other.”

Kody told the cameras that he was “working on this issue” but “Not rushing” to do so. “I’m not your servant to boss around,” he said of his exes.

Meanwhile, Janelle revealed during a confessional that she wants the land issues “done because it’s the only thing that still ties me to Kody and Robyn.” He added, “I’m ready to just close that chapter.”
