Madi Prewett Gives Birth to 1st Baby With Husband Grant Troutt

Bachelor alum Maddie Prewett and her husband, Grant Troutare officially parents after their first baby arrives.

Prewett, 28, took i Instagram on Sunday, January 26, to reveal that she gave birth to a baby girl named Hosanna on Monday, January 20. Sharing a carousel of images that showed the child tenderly bundled in a white blanket and pink bow, she Prewett captioned the series, “Hosanna Trout y Rhosyn 🩷 1.20.25.”

Troutt, who is also 28, was also seen throughout the snaps, lovingly covering Prewett’s face as she nursed the couple’s baby and posing for several photos alongside his daughters. Troutt shared the Instagram post at the same time via his account itself.

Later that month, Prewett explained that the couple – who tie the knot in October 2022 – just started “trying” for a baby when she was learned she was expecting.

“We said we don’t want to put any pressure on him, we don’t know what this tour is going to look like,” she said on her “Stay True With Madison Prewett Troutt” podcast. “Again, we didn’t want to expect that we were going to be pregnant. We’ve walked our friends through a lot of very difficult things.”

The couple noted that they were “really giving up” and that they “had hope” that Prewett would conceive, but her positive test came as a surprise as they had not been trying “hardcore” to conceive.

“There was nothing in my mind that even for a second was like, ‘This could be pregnant,'” she recalled about taking the test. “I don’t know why my mind didn’t even go there.”

While Prewett was “shaken” when she found out she was pregnant, she chose not to tell Troutt right away because he was preoccupied with his last week of work as a youth minister at Harris Creek Baptist Church in Waco, Texas.

“So I’m like, in my mind, I’m thinking, ‘OK, I’ve got to keep it cool, I’ve got to show up at church and focus on serving (Grant) this whole week, ” he reported. “And what I’m going to do is I’m going to order a really cute little present to present to him when I tell him we’re pregnant. That will take a few days to come in anyway and so it’s all going to work out.’”

He added, “I had to take that time during the week to pray and process with Jesus and, of course, I wish I could have told Grant a little sooner, but it worked out.”

Troutt then revealed how Prewett shared the news with him. “The first thing I see is this wooden frame and it says, ‘We’re having a baby,'” she said. “And I look down and here’s the pregnancy test, and it says ‘pregnant,’ and then right next to that is this little Jordan shoe, and behind the Jordan shoe the same kind of shoe but my size.”

Troutt admitted he “couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” describing it as “one of the most surreal moments of my life.”

Prewett competes on Peter Weberseason 24 of The Bachelor in 2020. Although she finished second after eliminating herself, she and Weber briefly gave their relationship another shot after reconnecting in the After the Final Rose special in March 2020. However, they are split for good a day after the finale aired.
