Wasn’t Berlanga’s “Big Payday” offer to Pacheco initial?

Edgar Berlanga came out of the woodwork last night to call out Super Middleweight Diego Pacheco in his prime following his win over Steven Nelson in Las Vegas. Berlanga posted on social media, saying he wants to give her one “Big Payday”.

The call from recently beat Brooklyn, New York native Berlanga Reeks Chout-Chasingtrying to get some cheap publicity, challenging WBO #1 Pacheco (23-0, 18 KOS) after his dominant performance against Nelson (20-1, 16 KOS) at the Las Vegas Cosmopolitan last Saturday night.

Promoter Eddie Hearn says he would be open to a fight between Berlanga and Pacheco. He seemed skeptical though, as if he didn’t believe Edgar was serious about wanting to fight Diego. Hearn is a wise owl who knows that a Berlanga-Pacheco clash has very little chance of happening.

The Canelo effect

Berlanga’s money demands would likely be high after the large purse he received for his title win against unified Super Middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez. Like many fighters facing Canelo, he is likely to be damaged and wants a similar mass in his next fight. That won’t happen.

Although the fight of Berlanga vs. Pacheco plays the rivalry of Puerto Rico vs. Mexico, the match will not bring PPV buys. It’s not worth selling on pay-per-view and would require Turki al-Sheikh to get involved to pay the kind of money Berlanga would likely want.

There has been talk of Berlanga wanting to fight the 39-year-old pink gabe Then to Puerto Rico to take advantage of its popularity in that country. He was treated like a hero after his loss to Canelo. The traveler Rosado is on Carrer de Berlanga.

Berlanga was last seen losing to Canelo Alvarez via a 12-round unanimous decision on September 14 by these scores: 118-109, 117-110 and 118-109.
