Pakistanleft arm spinner Noman Ali delivered a masterful piece of bowling to dismiss West Indies captain Craig Brathwaite on Day 2 of the second Test at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan on Sunday (January 26).
Brathwaite had been playing an aggressive game, coming out of his crease and creating space to attack, especially on the leg side. He had successfully scored a few boundaries this way. However, on the last ball of the 23rd, Noman’s volley, which he pitched in line with the stumps and was cleverly held back, fooled the batsman. The ball landed shorter than expected and spun sharply. Brathwaite, trying to nail it down the leg side, misses completely. Mohammad Rizwanshowing quick reflexes behind the stumps, he took advantage of the great spin and bounce to complete a sharp sock. Although Brathwaite was well out of place, Rizwan’s quick work sealed the dismissal. This wicket left the West Indies at 92/2, with Brathwaite contributing 52 runs from 74 balls, including 4 fours and 2 sixes.
