Ouattara scores a hat-trick as Bournemouth hammer Forest

Nottingham Forest’s eight-game unbeaten run came to an emphatic end as they were thrashed 5-0 by in-form Bournemouth this afternoon.

Andoni Iraola’s men, who won 4-1 at Newcastle last weekend, were rampant again with Dango Ouattara grabbing a hat-trick to add to goals from Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo.

Kluivert’s 11th goal of the season got the Cherries going before Ouattara took center stage with a superb hat-trick as Forest’s usually watertight defense capitulated.

Semenyo capped an impressive afternoon for Bournemouth with a brilliant stoppage time solo goal.

Isak inspires Newcastle to victory at Southampton

Bournemouth remain a point clear of Newcastle, who piled more misery on Southampton with a 3-1 win at St Mary’s.

The Saints took a surprise lead through a Jan Bednarek header but, inspired by Aleksander Isak, the visitors came back to claim victory.

Isak won and converted a penalty to equalize and then fired Newcastle ahead four minutes later with his 17th league goal of the season.

Sandro Tonali added a third in the second half.

Great win for Everton

Everton put some breathing room between them and the bottom four with a hard-fought win at Brighton.

Iliman Ndiaye scored the only goal three minutes before half-time after Joel Veltman was adjudged to have scored.

Brighton offered more attacking threat in the second half but the Toffees held on to give David Moyes victory in his 700th Premier League game as manager.

Everton remain 16th, but crucially, they are now seven points clear of Wolves in 17th.
